Artist’s Profile
Colleen du Pon lives and works on the Meggernie Estate in Glenlyon, Highland Perthshire, Scotland and is originally from Ontario, Canada. After pursuing a wide range of artistic and other disciplines, she earned a BA in Silversmithing and Metalwork at Camberwell College of Arts in London. She was awarded the Bruce Church Travel Scholarship in 2002 and has travelled extensively, working directly with nomadic Blacksmiths in India. Colleen takes pride forging with hand, hammer and anvil, forging beautiful creations in mild steel, from functional items to sculpture and architectural work to commission. Colleen has a talent and love for exploring the portrayal of flowers and her work can be found at the Artery Gallery in St. Andrews, and The Boltachan Gallery in Aberfeldy. Colleen is happy to take on commissions.
